Working firmly and sensitively with our board and staff leadership, he created strategies to expand and energize our programming that served as the linchpin to strengthen our infrastructure, most notably in our development operations. One way he achieved this was to arrange for the invaluable Dan Hagerty at the DeVos Institute to work directly with our under-resourced development staff to provide both high-level strategic thinking and on-the-ground practical support. Michael Kaiser’s fresh perspective, coupled with his lifetime of achievement in the world of arts and culture across many disciplines, has won him the trust of everyone within our institution, as well as our stakeholders, regional press, and key decision-makers in our city. Our only regret is that—eventually—his consultancy will end!"
